Who are we?
We are a group of Yoginis who connected through various on-line communities. Our shared interest in exploring the breadth and depth of yoga practice led to many wonderful conversations, forming a spin-off discussion group that has been our home since 2004.
We are ordinary women practicing real world yoga: in our living rooms, at studios, with children and cats and dogs and partners often joining us in our practices (and sometimes getting in our way). We reside across the US and Canada, and miraculously we have managed to meet at different locales in person to eat, play, and practice yoga.
We started this blog in the hope that our experiences might be interesting, helpful and encouraging to others who are facing similar thrills and challenges in making yoga a part of their lives. We called it Yogalila because lila means "play" in Sanskrit which captured what we wanted to create here. We never want to take ourselves so seriously that we lose our sense of humour.
